Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf, speaker of the intransigent-controlled Iranian parliament, has informed Iran’s official newspaper of the publication of the Law on “Strategic Measures to Abolish Sanctions and Maintain Iranian National Interests”, which will come into force from the date of its publication.

Qalibaf wrote to the director of the newspaper: “Given the expiration of the term stipulated in article 1 of the Civil Law, and in accordance with the following note of article 1 of the aforementioned law, we announce the promulgation of the Strategic Labor Law to abolish the sanctions and protect the interests of the Iranian nation and we inform you of the need to publish it in the Official Gazette ”.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani refused to sign the law and inform relevant agencies, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Iran’s Atomic Energy Authority, for its implementation, and the legal deadline available for its approval expired on Monday. .

The government announced its opposition to the law, which would raise uranium enrichment to 20 percent. Rouhani said it was detrimental to diplomatic efforts, as approved by the Guardian Council, which is concerned with passing legal legislation, and the National Security Council said the law does not harm Iranian interests.

In context, Iranian government spokesman Ali Rabiei said on Tuesday that the new centrifuges that were installed at the Natanz plant are capable of enriching uranium six times the capacity of other devices.

Rabiei added: “We installed centrifuges of the IR2M generation with a card (VI 6-5), at the Natanz plant, which is capable of enriching uranium six times the capacity of IR1 devices.” He added: “The installation of new centrifuges at Natanz is part of Tehran’s reduction of its obligations under the nuclear deal, and was carried out under the supervision of observers from the International Agency.”

And he stressed that “the installation of centrifuges in Natanz is part of the nuclear agreement, which is a returnable measure, in case Washington and Europe abide by the nuclear agreement.”

In turn, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh stated that Tehran would revert to its obligations to the nuclear deal in the event that the United States and Europe once again meet their full obligations regarding the deal.

Khatibzadeh said: “It is wrong for Europe to think that it can follow the maximum pressure policy that the Trump regime has used in other ways,” adding: “If Europe and the United States fully comply with their obligations under the nuclear deal, Iran It will again fulfill its commitments to this agreement. “

On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif addressed Iran’s neighboring Gulf states on Tuesday and said: “Tehran will not hold talks with the United States and three European countries about our region.”

Zarif wrote on his official Twitter account: “Dear neighbors! Why do you want the United States and three European countries to have talks with Iran, while: First, there are no talks with them about the region? We will not, because they themselves are the problem of our region. ” Second, we can speak directly to each other without foreign interference. The Hormuz peace initiative is still on the table. “

Saudi Arabia and Bahrain had demanded to be part of any future talks with Iran about the nuclear deal. Zarif said that “some of Iran’s neighbors are asking the West to be part of the negotiation process,” and stressed that his country “is always ready for dialogue with its neighbors.”

On Monday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry responded to the invitation from Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said: “These countries must know their position and speak according to their capabilities,” and stressed that “international relations and regional agreements are clear to all.”
