More than 4,148,350 injuries were officially recorded in 195 countries and regions. Statistics only reflect part of the actual number of injuries, as many countries do not perform tests to detect the infection, except those that require hospitalization. Among these cases, at least 1,396,200 injured people were recovered.
Since the last count on Sunday, at 19:00 GMT, there have been 3,294 deaths and 77,313 new infections in the world. The country with the highest number of new deaths is the United States (836), followed by Brazil (496) and France (263).
The United States is the country most affected by the number of deaths, with more than 80,000 deaths from 1,339,819 injuries, while at least 216,169 people have recovered.
After the United States, Great Britain ranks second with 32,065 deaths of 223,060 wounded. Italy follows with 30,739 deaths (219,814 wounded). Spain is fourth with 26,744 deaths (227,436 injuries), followed by France with 26,643 deaths (177,423 injuries).
Among the most affected countries, Belgium has the highest mortality rate compared to its population, with 75 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants, followed by Spain (57), Italy (51), the United Kingdom (47) and France (41 ).
To date, China (excluding Macao and Hong Kong) has reported 82,918 cases (17 new cases between Sunday and Monday), including 4,633 deaths (with no new deaths), while 78,144 people have recovered.
On Monday at 19:00 GMT, Europe recorded 157,217 deaths, of one million and 756,578 injuries so far.
The number of deaths reported in the United States and Canada together reached 84,950 of 1,409,724 injuries, Latin America and the Caribbean 20,909 deaths (375,280 injuries), Asia 10,749 deaths (301,143 cases), Middle East 7,656 deaths (232009 cases), Africa 2,318 deaths (65,338 injuries) and Oceania 125 deaths (8,285 injured).
