And the Ministry of Public Health announced in its report yesterday that 1,450 new Corona infections had been registered, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 67,029.
Notably, Dr. Firas Abyad today warned of the wide spread of Corona virus infection, saying: “The stability in the daily number of infections that we have witnessed recently is partly due to the stability in the number of tests. . But the increase in the number of intensive care patients and the number of deaths from contagion are two indications of the greater spread of the epidemic, and this increase is expected with less restrictions on movement and crossbreeding in the community, and therefore, It is important to increase the capacity of hospitals to receive the wounded, which is what is currently being done, but hospitals are now operating with a very high occupancy rate, over 90% in many areas. This means the impossibility of receiving a significant increase in the number of patients.
