The Corona virus reappeared in the Chinese city of Wuhan, which was considered the source of the outbreak, weeks after health authorities announced that they had not registered any new cases of Covid-19 disease.

The local health commission said Sunday that a new confirmed infection with the new Coronavirus virus (Covid-19) was reported on Saturday in China’s central Hubei province.

The committee said the patient was infected locally in the provincial capital Wuhan.

As of Saturday, Hubei had a total of 68,129 confirmed cases of Covid-19, including 50,334 in Wuhan. The death toll from Corunna virus in the province was 4,512, including 3,869 in Wuhan.

A total of 283,074 patient contacts with 19-Covid were tracked in the province as of Saturday, 1,001 of them are still under medical observation.

Hubei province reduced emergency isolation and restriction measures to combat the new Coronavirus, from the highest level to the second on May 2.

This is the first time that Corona has reappeared in the city, which was considered the cradle of its existence, after Chinese health authorities confirmed yesterday, Saturday, that no new cases of Corona virus had been recorded in the last 24 hours in the Hubei province, the epidemic fortress, for 35 consecutive days.
