A Reuters analysis revealed that new cases of Covid-19 disease in the United States reached the highest level in two months, as there were more than 58,000 new cases of the virus on Friday.
According to Reuters data, ten of the fifty states have seen record increases in daily injuries, including Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri and Ohio in the Midwest.
On Saturday, Brazil crossed the threshold of 150,000 deaths from Covid-19, at a time when the pandemic appears to be slowly diminishing in the country.
The Health Ministry said there were 559 additional deaths from coronavirus during the last 24 hours and 26,749 new cases of the virus, making it the second most affected country by the pandemic after the United States.
The total number of Covid-19 cases in Brazil, located in South America, reached five million 82,637 cases, while the total number of deaths reached 150,198 cases.
Rome was the scene of protests against the wearing of masks on Saturday, although Italy is witnessing a resurgence of new infections from the Corona virus.
The Health Ministry recorded another 5,724 corona cases during the last 24 hours and 29 deaths.
Most of the cases were asymptomatic and identified by an increase in examinations, with more than 133,000 examinations during this period.
At one of the rallies, protesters complained about measures they describe as harsh, including a new order for all Italians to wear outdoor masks or face fines of up to 1,000 euros.
Notably, the majority of new cases appeared in the northern Lombardy region, which recorded 1,140 new infections, followed by the Campania region, which includes Naples and Veneto.
In Italy, there have been about 350,000 confirmed cases and 36,140 deaths.
And in the latest developments related to the spread of the epidemic in the world, the new Corona virus has killed at least 1,069,029 people in the world since it appeared in China in December, according to a toll prepared by Agence France-Presse on Saturday at 11:00 GMT according to official sources. More than 36,934,770 confirmed injuries were recorded.
More than 10 million cases of Covid-19 have been counted in Latin America, according to a France Press census. It is the most affected region in the world in terms of the number of wounded and dead.
The United States is the most affected country in the world, followed by Brazil (149,639), India (107,416), Mexico (83,507) and Great Britain (42,679).
