Reuters quoted United States President Donald Trump as saying Tuesday night that the crisis cell he had established to deal with the Crown epidemic would “shrink” as the country enters a second stage for deal with the aftermath of the pandemic.
“Mike Pence and the team have done a great job … but now we are seeing a slightly different way, linked to security and openness,” says Trump, during a visit to a mask factory in Arizona.
Trump said infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony “Fauchi and Pyrex (immunologist) will continue to participate in counseling after the task force is resolved” to address the virus.
When asked if the squadron had been on missions against the Corona epidemic, he replied, “No, not at all. The mission will be done when the pandemic ends.”
Trump assigned his deputy, Mike Pence, to lead Crisis Cell in late February, weeks after the first Corona case in the United States appeared, and a few days after the first public death related to the virus was announced.
Prior to Trump’s comments, Bloomberg had quoted United States Vice President Mike Pence as saying that the White House was discussing the end of the crisis cell it was boarding to tackle the HIV epidemic, and that it had not ruled out this later this month.
“We are in talks about that,” Pence said at a crisis cell news conference Tuesday, confirming an earlier report in the New York Times.
Pence emphasized that the White House can transfer the tasks of the government’s response to the ongoing epidemic to the Federal Emergency Management Agency. He explained that the possible deadline for this step may be in late May or early June, according to the agency.

However, Pence noted that some states are not yet out of the “danger stage … but they do have the resources they need.”
“We are very confident in our ability to meet the demands of the moment” with the resources available now in hospitals, he said.

However, Pence emphasized that the White House plans to keep Deborah Perks, immunologist and coordinator of the activities of Crisis Cell, and said that “it is the best in the world,” according to Bloomberg.
