As for what will happen to the situation, Geagea said: “Unfortunately, it is going to deteriorate even more, and as a consequence, the Central Bank of Lebanon will raise the subsidy for basic materials, which will lead to an increase in the prices of fuels, wheat products and medicines, and then the wages of those who receive their salary will be converted into the national currency without much purchasing power and they will not be able to cover their monthly needs ”, noting that“ the economic movement in the country is almost paralyzed by complete, which will translate into a significant deterioration in the exchange rate of the Lebanese pound against the US dollar, which means a significant drop in the purchasing power of the national currency ”.
Geagea lamented and said: “I do not have any good news in my possession at the national level, because this is the reality of the situation, but despite all this darkness, you must realize that the possibilities of rescue in Lebanon are still available. Oh God, may the governing board change and may a new class emerge. ” The country comes out of the crisis and moves in the right direction towards the Lebanon that we all want.
