Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi confirmed on Saturday that many studies have shown that the coronavirus epidemic was caused by the outbreak of the disease separately in different parts of the world.
Wang Yi said in an interview with Central TV: “When Corona arrived in China, I immediately took steps to investigate epidemiology, identify factors, and publish basic information, including the genetic sequence of the virus.”
He added: “China was the first country to report Coronavirus cases.”
He continued: “We were at the forefront of the fight against attempts at disinformation and politicization. We were determined to ensure that methods of fighting the epidemic were not distorted by lies.”
For its part, the “Associated Press”, in a report, indicated that the Chinese authorities have carried out a secret investigation to find the origin of the new Corona virus in natural caves, which it described as a “black hole”.
According to the agency, “the Chinese government provides grants worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to scientists studying the origins of the virus, while officials monitor the results and request approval from a government committee to publish any details.”
And almost 83.73 million cases of the disease were registered in the world, while the total number of deaths from the virus reached one million and 824,576 deaths.
