Cases of allergy to the Corona vaccine … and the highest health authority in America announces the start of the investigation

The US Food and Drug Administration said Friday night that it had begun an investigation into the allergic reactions expressed by some of those who received the “Pfizer” vaccine against the emerging corona virus.

During a broadcast on his YouTube channel, Peter Marks, director of the Department’s Center for Biological Research and Assessment, confirmed that reports of allergic reactions had been received in more than one US state, in addition to Alaska.

The Food and Drug Administration is investigating five cases that showed allergy symptoms after receiving the vaccine.

“We work hand in hand with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and, in fact, we have worked closely with our colleagues in the UK, who have reported (detected) an allergic reaction,” said Marks.

The investigation will include research on “any component of the vaccine that may help produce (allergic symptoms),” according to the agency.

Marx said the Food and Drug Administration was unsure of the cause of the apparent reactions, noting at the same time, the agency’s indication that a chemical, “polyethylene glycol,” could be the reason behind the matter.

Both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines contain polyethylene glycol in their formulations.

A healthcare worker in the US state of Alaska developed a severe allergy after receiving the Corona virus vaccine produced by Pfizer on Tuesday.

A report in the US newspaper “New York Times” said the patient remained in the hospital for observation until Wednesday morning.

A hospital official explained that the worker is middle-aged and has no history of allergies, but an allergic reaction began ten minutes after receiving the vaccine at Bartlett Hospital in Juneau, Alaska.

Signs of an allergic reaction, such as redness and shortness of breath, became apparent after receiving the Pfizer vaccine.

Britain reported an allergy outbreak last week after some people received the Pfizer vaccine on their soil.

The British Supervisory Authority recommended that “patients with a history of serious allergic diseases should not receive the Pfizer – Biontech vaccine”, after the appearance of negative side effects in two people on the first day of the vaccine launch.
