Car thief arrested in Sidon, who had previously rented it – Al-Manar TV website – Lebanon

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces and Bodies – Public Relations Division issued the following communication: “On 11/19/2020, the citizen claimed: i. H. (Born 1984) at Old Sidon Police Station in the Regional Gendarmerie Unit against: M. Kh. (Born in 1986, Syrian) for the crime of theft of his car “Nissan Sani”, while it was parked in the town of Ms. Nafisa – Saida, since the latter had leased it to him on the date it was stolen.

During the investigation with (MK), it was found that he had nothing to do with the theft, confirming that he was constantly renting the aforementioned car from the plaintiff, and that he had parked it that night under his house, only to be shocked shortly after that it had been stolen.

By following up and seeing the names of all the people who had rented the plaintiff’s car in earlier times, the suspect was suspected (NK, born 1998, Syrian).

He was detained by a detachment force at his home located in the town of Zaroub al-Najasah – Sidon, and during his interrogation he confessed to having stolen the car with a copy of his key, which he had previously copied while renting it, then sold it in the town of Al Qasr in the Bekaa to a person named: (RG.).

A search of his home found the sum of $ 1600, which is the price of the stolen car.
The car was seized and the buyer (RG) was arrested for the crime of buying a stolen item, in coordination with the Lebanese Army.

The car was returned to its owner, and the two detainees were filed in the competent court, according to their indication.
