Britain: another new Corona strain has a faster outbreak

Yesterday British Health Minister Matt Hancock announced the monitoring of another new strain of the emerging corona virus in the UK.
He confirmed two cases of infection with the new strain and both had contacts with people who had visited South Africa in recent weeks.

He stressed that laboratory studies will be carried out quickly to analyze the new strain, while the government has imposed urgent restrictions on travel from South Africa, to force citizens who have had contact during the last two weeks with those who visited this country, to immediate quarantine.
He expressed the appreciation of the London government to the South African authorities for their openness and transparency in cooperation regarding the new breed.
And the British authorities recently announced the detection of a new strain of Corona, prompting the imposition of very strict restrictions in the capital, London and large areas of south-east England.
And Britain’s health authorities announced that they had recorded 39,237 new corona cases yesterday, compared to 36,804 on Tuesday.
Authorities said they had documented 744 deaths in the past 24 hours, up from 691 on Tuesday.
And more than 40 countries suspended travel from Britain or imposed restrictions on arrivals from Britain, after London announced the spread of a new strain of the virus believed to be spreading faster.
And Scotland closed its borders with the rest of the United Kingdom before the announcement of the new breed.
And citizens and residents of the European Union were allowed to enter France from Britain, as of yesterday, provided they have a negative Covid test, allowing truck drivers stranded for two days due to the ban to return. .
All Britons, except truck, bus and train drivers, and residents of the European Union, are still prohibited from crossing the English Channel.
Germany barred all arrivals from the UK and South Africa, where the new strain also appeared, until January 6. Anyone arriving in the country must now submit a negative COVID-19 test.
All inbound flights from Britain were banned until December 31 and “people, regardless of nationality, should not travel from Britain, either by air or by sea.”
And those who have arrived since December 8 must isolate themselves by “staying in their rooms” for 14 days.
Spain and Portugal suspended flights as Madrid only allowed its own citizens or residents to enter from Britain until January 5.
Bologna, which has a large number of citizens in Britain, has banned all flights from the UK.
Italy has banned flights from Britain until January 6 and banned people who visited it for the past 14 days.

Russia suspended all flights for a week with Great Britain.

Norway, Sweden and Denmark suspended flights with Great Britain for 48 hours.
Sweden also closed its border with Denmark, where nine cases of the new strain were discovered.
Belgium suspended flights and train services, “Eurostar” with Great Britain.
India has suspended all flights from Britain until December 31, while anyone arriving in transit from Britain will have to undergo a COVID-19 test.
Hong Kong has banned all flights from Britain and extended the quarantine of passengers arriving from Britain in the past two weeks.
Canada has suspended all flights from Great Britain, starting Sunday night, for a period of 72 hours, while people who originally came from Great Britain will be subject to monitoring.
And Turkey announced the suspension of flights from Great Britain, Denmark, the Netherlands and South Africa.

And Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia banned flights from Britain, while Algeria decided to stop returning its nationals.
Mauritius, a former British colony, has also banned travel from the UK and South Africa.
No one who has visited Great Britain or South Africa in the last 30 days will be allowed to enter El Salvador. The same happens with Panama and Paraguay.
Peru went further, banning all flights from Europe and any foreigners visiting Britain in the past two weeks.
Chile and Argentina have also banned flights from the UK, and Chile has banned anyone who has visited Britain in the past two weeks, except its residents.
