US President Donald Trump extended my decision to ban immigration that had barred many applicants for (green cards) and temporary foreign workers, in measures he deems necessary to protect American workers in an economy ravaged by the Corona pandemic.
The decisions were issued in April and June, and were supposed to expire on December 31.
However, Trump decided to extend his work until March 31, 2021, in a move that is the latest in a series of immigration measures adopted by the Trump administration.
A wide range of companies oppose the ban on certain foreign workers.
President-elect Joe Biden has previously opposed the restrictions, but has yet to say whether he will review them when he officially takes office on January 20.
