The text of the decision read:
Based on Circular No. 1612 of the Minister of the Interior and Municipalities of 12/21/2020, article 8 thereof.
And after a marked increase in the number of infections with the Coronavirus daily, in order to prevent the spread of the virus socially, which increases for the worse, especially during the holidays.
In response to the Zgharta District Commissioner’s book No. 331 / p on 12/24/2020, which is based on the recommendations of the religious and municipal activities and the Crisis Cell in Zgharta.
And after communicating with the patriarchal deputy in Raed Ehden – Zgharta.
Decide the following:
Article 1: All religious celebrations of the Christmas Mass in Zgharta are canceled.
Article Two: Strictly adopt all preventive measures in the celebrations of Christmas Mass in the rest of the municipalities of the district.
Article Three: Prevent gatherings in all public places, as well as strictly prohibit celebrations in restaurants and cafes within the Zgharta-Zawiya district, and respect the limit allowed at special social events.
Article 4: The municipal police, the security forces and the Zgharta District Crisis Cell are tasked with implementing the content of this decision.
Fifth Article: This decision will be effective from its date until 12/28/2020, with the possibility of an extension if the number of injured continues to increase.
