Basilio departure of MP Sid Akl
The head of the Free Patriotic Movement, deputy Gebran Bassil, in a tweet on his Twitter account, lamented former deputy Said Akl, who died on Sunday after a fight against illness at the age of 89.
Bassil wrote: “With the departure of MP Said Akl, we will recall with good memory a part of Batroun’s history that he has loved and served for decades.”
He added: “With this great loss, my condolences to my family, all my loved ones and the people of our city, who are united by their love.”
Basil concluded his tweet by saying: “May God have mercy on him and preserve Batroun and his good people.”
