Bassil attacked the recent visit of the head of the political bureau of the Palestinian “Hamas” movement, Ismail Haniyeh, to Lebanon, explaining that “his country during this period cannot bear things like what happened and was said about the visit,” noting that with his visit “harms Lebanon and does not serve the Palestinian cause or the return of our refugee brothers to their land.”

The former minister announced his rejection of everything that came in the visit, highlighting that “Haniyeh increases the risks for the sovereignty and unity of Lebanon, and we will not accept that anyone believes any fait accompli that threatens Lebanon”, according to “RT”.
