The Kingdom of Bahrain officially announced on Friday the normalization of its relations with the Israeli occupation.
Initially, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, announced that a formal agreement had been reached between Washington, Manama and Tel Aviv, to normalize relations, and said that this agreement came after a conference call between him and the king of Bahrain and the prime minister of the occupation.
Trump tweeted that what happened was another “historic breakthrough”, adding that “our great friends, Israel and Bahrain, have agreed to peace.”
He continued: “The second Arab country to make peace with Israel in 30 days.”
Trump said other countries were “tremendously excited” to join the deal to normalize relations with the Israeli occupation.
And after Trump’s statements, the official Bahrain News Agency quoted the country’s king, Hamad bin Isa, as saying that this agreement is a necessity to achieve a just and comprehensive peace, as a strategic option, in accordance with the solution. of two States and the relevant international legitimacy decisions.
The King of Bahrain praised “the critical role played by the US administration and its tireless efforts to advance the peace process, establish security and stability in the Middle East and strengthen international peace.”
Bahrain announced that its Foreign Minister, Abdul Latif Al-Zayani, will participate in the signing of the agreement between the United Arab Emirates and the occupation on September 15 in Washington, and that it will be signed as the representative of the country’s king.
While the occupation prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, celebrated the normalization agreement, saying: “The Bahrain agreement to normalize relations with Israel is a new era of peace.”
And he continued in a statement: “I am pleased to announce to the Israeli public that tonight we will reach another peace agreement with another Arab country, with Bahrain and thus join the historic peace agreement with the UAE. It took us 26 years to sign a third peace agreement. peace with an Arab country and 29 days for a fourth agreement. ” .
In turn, Trump’s adviser and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, told Reuters that “the agreement between Israel and Bahrain will include the opening of two embassies.”
Last month, the United Arab Emirates announced that it had reached a full agreement with the occupation regarding the establishment of permanent relations and canceled all laws that considered “Israel” an occupying state.
