The Iran-backed “Qassem al-Jabarin Brigade” group announced in a statement late Sunday that a convoy of US forces had been attacked in the southern governorate of Dhi Qar.

The brief statement said the group attacked a truck belonging to a US forces logistics support convoy on the international highway in Nasiriyah.

A security source revealed that the target was against an Iraqi security company working to transport some materials to the international coalition forces, and it was carried out by detonating an explosive device that caused minor material damage to the wheels of the convoy and injured a civilian, who was near the scene of the explosion.

It is noteworthy that for months the Green Zone, which includes the United States embassy in Baghdad, as well as the military bases that house coalition forces and convoys carrying logistics equipment belonging to it, has been the target of missile attacks. and IED attacks.
