As part of the field and informational monitoring carried out by the Information Division of the Internal Security Forces to combat car theft, which resulted in the arrest of many of those involved in it, this division learned of the emergence of a new gang activity in the Monte Líbano Governorate that carried out several robberies.
After surveillance operations, the Division was able to identify the members of the aforementioned gang, which includes: AJ (born 1993, Lebanese) and QB (born 1971, Lebanese).
On April 2 and 12, 2020, and after a process of monitoring and surveillance, a special force affiliated with the division managed to arrest the first in the city of Choueifat and the second in the Tahwitat al-Ghadeer neighborhood, the suburbs. from the south.
The motorized bicycle used in the robberies was also seized.
Through their interrogations, they confessed to having carried out more than 5 robberies in Baabda and Al-Matn, and transferred stolen cars to the Bekaa region, and from there to Syrian territory, as the first admitted for drug use.
The legal requirement was taken against them, and they were deposited together with the assets seized by the competent authority at the request of the Judicial Power.
