At a time when Adib was supposed to hand over his government formation to President Aoun, the information indicated that Adeeb decided to wait to make room for consultation.
After the meeting, President Adeeb told reporters that he had met with President Aoun “for further consultation.”
In response to a question about the government’s formation date, he said: “God willing, it’s good.”
According to sources who accompanied the meeting, the information revealed that the consultations continue after some developments occurred in the last 24 hours in preparation for a second meeting that will bring together the two presidents in a reasonable time to see the next developments.
And he announced that the president-designate did not present any government formula, since there is no complete formation, not even names, highlighting that the issue of continuous consultations is a matter agreed between Aoun and Adib.
The sources indicated that President Aoun will seek the opinion of the political parties to know their positions, and has previously expressed his opinion about the future government and what is important for him to be able to undertake reforms.
The information also indicated that it was agreed between Aoun and Adib to start a consultation with the parliamentary blocs on the government file, and the deadline for the next visit is Thursday. Shortly after 3 pm, President Aoun met with Representative Farid El-Khazen, representative of the National Bloc at the Baabda Palace.

Then President Aoun met with Deputy Faisal Karami for the “consultative meeting”, the head of the powerful Lebanese bloc, Representative Gebran Bassil and Representative Samir Al-Jisr for the “Future” bloc.
President Aoun will continue his meetings with the heads of the parliamentary blocs this morning with the same purpose.
It is known that the “Bloque Encuentro Democrático” will not participate in the Republican Palace consultations.
