An opposition group reveals a secret nuclear site near Tehran.
A group of Iranian opponents in exile announced that they had identified a secret military site near Tehran, which they said could include a testing center for the development of the country’s military nuclear program, which since 2015 has been officially restricted to civilian activities.
The National Council of Resistance of Iran (the political front of the armed group Mujahideen Khalq that opposes the authority) said during a press conference in Washington that was broadcast on the Internet, Friday night, that a new center had been built to continue arming the nuclear program of the Iranian regime.

He also confirmed that there is a building that was built between 2012 and 2017 at a military site west of Tehran, in the Sarkh Hesar area, supporting his words with satellite images. He added that the site is run by a branch of the Iranian Defense Ministry.
In addition, Alireza Jafarzadeh, deputy director of the Majlis in Washington, said that through the presence of the building “in a military zone, they found adequate cover to keep secret the movements and identities of the people there.”
He also indicated that this branch of the ministry is known for conducting experiments with the aim of manufacturing nuclear weapons.
The opposition group warned that “these discoveries prove that the Vienna Agreement does not impede Tehran’s activities to obtain nuclear weapons.”
It should be noted that the 2015 Vienna Agreement offered Iran the possibility of lifting international sanctions that strangle its economy, in exchange for guarantees verified by the United Nations and designed to demonstrate the exclusively civil nature of Tehran’s nuclear activities.
