I am guilty because I worked on an economic reform plan that would change our reality by stimulating the productive and intellectual sectors for economic advancement and abandoning the rentier economic policies adopted since I am guilty because I told the people that the current laws do not give the Ministry of Economy the dissuasive power to combat fraud and market sluggishness, while I have prepared a draft reform of the Consumer Protection Law to achieve effective protection in terms of monitoring, investigation and immediate sanction.
He added: “I am guilty because I worked on the competition law that leads to the prevention of monopoly and hegemony and the abolition of exclusive agencies, which allows promoting competition and thus lowering prices and not being manipulated. It is my great sin. in the land of empty promises that I have never failed in my responsibilities and I endeavored to preserve the livelihood of the poor and the approval of laws and plans that help us out of the crisis? Or is it my unforgivable sin that I never participated in The Media Game and Empty Populist Talk? No, but I did tell the Lebanese all the facts, no matter how difficult and painful they are.
