An attempt to re-enter “Guinness”

Abdullah Sakati is preparing photography equipment to document his new sporting experience, which he hopes will re-enter the “Guinness Book of Records”. The athlete, a son of the city of Latakia, had previously entered the international encyclopedia almost three years ago, by breaking the world record set for the “two-finger pressure” exercise.

“It’s harder to stay on top than it is to get there,” says Sagati, as his family and friends gather around him to support him in his new experience. He explains to Al-Akhbar: “After a suggestion from the Guinness Book of Records, that I was trying to break a new record with a different exercise, I started training with coach Esper Elias for a year.”
Sagati made two attempts to apply pressure, the first with a right foot and a left hand, and the second with two feet and one hand free from the ground, or as it is called in local sports circles, “the exercise of the American army.”
The athlete broke the Guinness World Record more than ten times per attempt. And that was inside one of the pavilions of the Lattakia municipal stadium, last July.
The experiment should have taken place within “Sports Week at Tishreen University”, but the exceptional restrictions imposed by the spread of the “Covid 19” epidemic prevented “Sports Week”, leading to my downfall. to plan “to conduct an individual experiment to enter the Guinness Book a second time.”
Sagati does not hide his pain at the lack of care in his sporting endeavor, as he handled every detail with his own hands, from the camera preparations and the audio recording to where he was experimenting.
