America sets records in Corona
The United States is witnessing a significant increase in the numbers of the Corona virus, expectations of what will be worse with the onset of winter, and in light of the timing of the use of the promising vaccine to eliminate the deadly virus.
Coronavirus infections in the United States broke a new barrier, on Saturday, to keep the country at the global forefront in terms of the number of infections and deaths from Covid-19 disease.
The American newspaper “New York Times” indicated that the total number of coronavirus infections in the United States exceeded 12 million, reaching 12 million and about 290,000 cases.
On Friday, the United States recorded more than 198,000 injuries, a record the country had never known since the start of the pandemic earlier this year.
These numbers coincide with mounting warnings in recent times of great pressure on the country’s hospitals and medical teams, which is expected to increase in frequency during the current winter.
The number of deaths in the United States from the Corona virus has so far reached more than 260,000, followed by Brazil with more than 168,000 deaths and India with more than 132,000 deaths.
US health officials expected an increase in deaths due to the increase in new infections and the number of patients in hospitals due to the pandemic to more than 80,000.
The pessimistic statistics coincide with the announcement by the American company “Pfizer” and the German company “Biontech” that they have submitted an application to the US Food and Drug Administration for a license to produce their vaccine, whose clinical trials have proven to be 95 percent successful.
