In his article, Al-Senawy praised the popular movement towards the case of Muhammad Ramadan.

It is not the first time that the Al-Shorouk newspaper has blocked articles by its writers, especially those related to criticism of normalization. He recently deleted an article by Abdullah Al-Senawy, entitled “Egypt Speaks for Itself in the Battle of Normalization”, in which he discussed the issue recently raised with artist Muhammad Ramadan about normalization and his presence with Israeli celebrities in Dubai, and praises what happened popularly in this regard. And it broke the treaty signed between Egypt and “Israel” in 1979, over a period of more than forty years. The ban on the article in the Egyptian “Al-Shorouk” generated strong condemnation in the press and cultural circles, especially because it was removed without providing justifications for what happened. And he reiterated what the newspaper had done with the rest of the writers and prevented the publication of their articles, including Abdel-Azim Hammad, Ayman Al-Sayyad and Mustafa Al-Sayed. Perhaps the most prominent thing that happened in this regard between the newspaper and its editors, with the Egyptian writer Hossam Al-Sukkari, who announced the cessation of cooperation with the newspaper, due to “dependence on the public sphere and restrictions on freedoms , including freedom of opinion and expression ”. By finally preventing the publication of Al-Senawy’s article, the Egyptian newspaper has stepped up its crackdown on journalists and freedom of opinion and expression, and has opened the door to questions about suppressing any views that oppose normalization with the ocupation.
