On Wednesday, the campaign of US President Donald Trump paid $ 3 million for a count of two Wisconsin counties, as required by state law.
And according to the Associated Press, the Trump campaign accuses counties in this state of having experienced “the worst irregularities in voting.”
The vote will be counted in the state won by President-elect Joe Biden in Milwaukee and Dean counties, resulting in 577,000 votes for Biden, compared to 213,000 votes for Trump, according to the Associated Press.
Jim Tropez, a Trump campaign attorney, says Wisconsin “deserves to know if its electoral processes are operating legally and transparently.”
He added: “Unfortunately, the integrity of the results cannot be trusted without a count.”
In the event of formal approval of a recount by the head of the electoral commission, the recount process will start on Thursday or Saturday and must end before December 1.
During the 2016 election, the counts in Wisconsin added 131 votes to Trump.
The US Presidential Elections Commission in Wisconsin previously said that a statewide recount would cost about $ 7.9 million, which is money that President Donald Trump’s campaign will have to pay upfront if requested.
The sum of three million would be enough for a count in several provinces.
