An American teenager killed his mother after a fight between them over poor grades at school, according to the New York Post.

Gregory Ramos was 15 when he was charged in 2018 with strangling his 46-year-old mother, at the time, after she reprimanded him after receiving a grade of “D” at school.

According to the Orlando Sentinel website, the boy accepted a 45-year prison sentence based on his crime.

Ramos pleaded guilty to charges of premeditated murder, abuse of the body and tampering with evidence.

The website said the allegations were targeting Ramos as an adult, putting him facing the possibility of life in prison.

According to “WFTV”, Ramos has agreed to be placed on probation for life, and there may be a chance for his release after the 25-year sentence against him is reviewed.

The court is expected to announce its official ruling on the child on January 22.

According to local authorities, Ramos’s mother’s body was found buried under a church.

Ramos had called 911 the day after his mother’s death and claimed that she had disappeared after a robbery.

The scratches on the boy’s face raised the suspicions of investigators at the time, leading them to suspect him.

According to police, Ramos carried out his crime with the help of two of his friends, who were about two years older than him.

Charges have been brought against my friend Ramos and they face a prison sentence of up to 30 years if convicted of participating in first degree murder.
