A response issued by the Al-Hikma University leadership

In response to what was expressed in the news published on the website “Lebanon Depate” on Monday 12/10/2020 entitled: “By order of Patriarch Al-Ra’i … around 100 employees were fired.” To the truth in the link.

It is important for the university administration to make it clear that it and the Maronite Archdiocese of Beirut have invested all their energy to date to ease the burden of the crisis on the shoulders of their employees.

As for the 100 employees who claimed to have been fired in the news published on the aforementioned website, the university administration confirms that in reality only three employees left the university.

The first employee reached the age of 75 and obtained all his rights, while the other two employees had contracted with the university based on two contracts whose terms were expiring.

As for catching some in troubled waters and trying to offend the reputation of the Maronite Archdiocese of Beirut and the former University of Wisdom, their goals were clear and exposed, which is to undermine educational institutions in general, and Catholic universities in In particular, they place the education and upbringing of their students above any consideration or benefit, and this is unacceptable.

Based on the above, the Al-Hikma University administration reserves all its legal and legal rights to prosecute those who spread rumors of this type.
