A mural in Rafah to raise awareness about Corona

The Action Committees of the Union of Palestinian Women, the women’s framework of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, inaugurated an artistic mural entitled “Your disdain will kill your children” in the Al-Brasil neighborhood in Rafah governorate, as part of its plan to make citizens aware of the importance of following safety and prevention measures to face the coronavirus. The union official in the governorate, Nisreen Abu Amra, highlighted the essential role of Palestinian women in the face of the threat of the spread of the coronavirus, as they are the family’s first line of defense in handling crises despite the psychological and social pressures that are exerted on them, but they remain firm and support their social and family responsibilities to face the epidemic.

Abu Amra called for raising awareness about the importance of society’s commitment to preventive and precautionary measures against the virus, including concerns about social distancing and the use of masks. At the same time, he noted that the mural was designed to convey a message to the world that the defenseless Palestinian people face more than one danger at the same time, and to shed light on the magnitude of the challenges and difficulties involved in addressing the Corona pandemic. .
As for the district official, Zahr Al-Kashef, he warned against the disdain and underestimation of the instructions of the Ministry of Health and the lack of responsibility, while the official of the Democratic Front in the Governorate of Rafah Ibrahim Hamid valued the role of the in charge of the mural in adopting the demands of women and their efforts to confront the epidemic and the risk of its spread.
