A Lebanese minister receives guarantees during his visit to Damascus for the safe return of displaced Syrians

Following his meeting with Lebanese President Michel Aoun, to inform him of the results of his visit to Syria, Musharrafiya confirmed that “the conversations he had with Syrian officials during his visit were more than positive and very encouraging,” noting that “all the Ministers who met with them expressed their full willingness to work with Lebanon to activate the “Return of the Displaced” file.

Al-Musharrafiya said that “he emphasized with the Syrian side to address this file in terms of its humanitarian dimension, considering that the safe and dignified return of the displaced to their country is the only sustainable solution, and that Lebanon considers it a sacred right for them and will assist them by all available means and through coordination with the Syrian state and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees ”. Musharrafieh noted that “President Aoun has presented the guarantees I have received to achieve a dignified and safe return, through which the security and dignity of the displaced Syrians will be guaranteed and preserved.”
