A joint decision by Aoun and Diab on “Tax and Fee Exemptions”

President Michel Aoun and Acting Prime Minister Hassan Diab issued a decision to extend some deadlines and grant some exemptions from taxes and fees.

The text of the decision read:

First: Unlike any other text, the effects of contractual clauses related to non-payment of loans of all kinds, whether supported by them and not supported by commercial, residential, industrial, agricultural, tourism, environmental and environmental technologies. information is suspended for a period of six months from the date of publication of this law, so no penalties will be applied to the borrower. Second: Extension for a period of six months from the expiration date of the extension period stipulated in Law No. 185/2020, all the periods stipulated in article 22 of the 2020 Budget Law, and the same period extends the term for the reduction of fines, delay increases and benefits for arrears of the National Insurance Fund. And contained in article 23 of the 2020 Budget Law, and in articles 34 and 35 of the 2020 Budget Law, extended by Law No. 185/2020.

Third: The term for the payment of all types of taxes and fees, including municipal fees and contributions to the National Social Security Fund, will be extended for a period of six months from the date of publication of this law.
