Human shields
The message from the Israeli ambassador, Erdan, indicated the need to disarm Hezbollah and prevent it from “using human shields to protect its arsenal, which includes more than 130,000 missiles.”

Erdan attached his message to all members of the Security Council, with a map prepared by the IDF identifying Hezbollah’s tunnel areas, the sites from which the attacks on Israel were taking place, and the observation points of “Green without Borders”, the non-governmental organization believed to be a Hezbollah front established to work near the border and gather intelligence on the Israeli army.

Erdan’s letter concluded that “the Security Council must immediately declare Hezbollah a terrorist organization and prevent it from obtaining direct or indirect assistance.”
