On the 4th of this month, the union notified a letter from the Bidding Department requesting that the “file for the commissioning of collection, transportation and transfer to the cities and villages of the Shqif – Nabatiyeh Union of Municipalities Union be reexamined,” that the price set as a labor subsidy has doubled significantly with respect to the price contained in the similar file sent to the Bidding Department approximately a year ago. It was mentioned in the book that two of the four offers were submitted to the tender, while the other two offers were not serious in accordance with what is required in the book of conditions for negotiation. While the Union fixed the price of the commitment at about 13 billion pounds, which is equivalent to more than three times the price of the winner in the tender that took place on August 8, 2019 of 3.5 billion pounds, and nine times higher than the winner’s price in the contract that was made on February 27, 2018 (1.4 billion pounds)). Al-Akhbar learned that the two companies, which had made unserious offers, realized that they had no chance of winning, unlike the other two companies. Consequently, they will fall into the pit of not securing a waste dump, which is why the waste crisis in the region was not addressed some eight years ago.
Of the four companies, “Yamen Contracting Company” appears to be the most likely to win “due to its proximity to Amal”. In the context of what some mayors described as “overcoming obstacles” to the company’s victory, the two municipalities of Habbouch and Adashit gave it written consent to use their landfills to dump waste sorting waste at the plant. of Kufour. Note that the two cities and all of their neighbors have not approved for years the allocation of a parcel of land to be used as a landfill.

According to monitoring sources, the new agreement between Amal and Hezbollah to resolve the waste crisis stipulated that the collection and sweeping would be entrusted to a company near Amal, in exchange for the continuation of the company “Mimar” to operate the plant. , after he replaced “Dansh Contracting” near Amal.
And after Jaber, who believes himself hopeful, was the sponsor and endorsement of the previous hiring “cooks”, it was notable that yesterday he decided to resign in protest of the price increase from 9 billion to 13 billion. And part of the meeting quoted him as saying that he did not agree with the bidding and pricing method. He left his resignation on the union table, threatening to present it to the governor.
