The Information Ministry has warned copycats and forgers of documents to move during the shutdown

The Ministry of Information thanked the media professionals who accompany the general closing with a distinguished effort. The ministry also confirmed that shaking the government’s decision threatens the health security of society.

The Ministry warned anyone who tries to exploit the media message aimed at achieving the public good, impersonating or falsifying documents related to media professionals to facilitate their circulation during the closure and outside the permissible times, or by any other means contrary to the law.

The following statement was issued by the Ministry of Information:

“In the concern of the Ministry of Information for the good performance of media work, it is important that the ministry first thanks all media professionals who are up to date with the general closing period with a distinguished effort, so that their transfer objective and an image professional assisted and helped implement the general closure procedures.

From this point of view, and to protect the media body, the Ministry of Information confirms once again that the perseverance in the government’s decision undermines the health security of society, and warns anyone who tries to exploit the targeted media message to the achievement of the public good, impersonating or falsifying documents related to media professionals to facilitate their circulation during the closing and out of time. It is permissible, or by any other means contrary to the law, and reminds them that the Lebanese Penal Code extends to such acts and incriminates them with a fine and imprisonment, so its articles explicitly stipulate that the imposter and the author of the Counterfeiting will be punished with a prison term of up to five years.

Finally, the Ministry points out that media workers who can travel outside the allowed hours must be holders of a professional card and carry out a media mission.
