Forces will be deployed to organize communications and resupply at sea, and participants in the exercises will conduct searches for suspicious ships.

The press office indicated that the Russian and Egyptian sailors will exercise measures under the command of the joint training headquarters to organize all kinds of protection and defense at sea and carry out the launching of missiles and artillery using onboard weapons.

The office added that “the exercises aim to strengthen and develop military cooperation between Egyptian and Russian naval forces to serve security and stability at sea, and exchange experiences between individuals in order to thwart various threats on heavy shipping lanes. “.
