It is an achievement by all accounts for North Macedonia, which was plagued by internal problems and external pressures. Away from the world of sports, the country was part of the former Yugoslavia before its independence in September 1991. All these obstacles were faced by the North Macedonia team before fighting in the corner of their dream and winning.
The first milestones of football success began to appear in the country after a wonderful run in the Nations League 2018/2019, as North Macedonia was promoted to League C for the next edition of the competition, after which the national team Nacional reached the final qualifying rounds for the Euro. The road was not paved for the Macedonian qualification, nor was it arduous as the team benefited as other exceptional qualifying measures.
