The current has to block the formation of the government.

Sources close to the Amal movement indicated that “Basil” is acting in the internal archives without any separation from the external archives, noting that the movement is currently focusing on the issue of sanctions, even if the matter is at the expense of Lebanon and the Lebanese, as he described.

About a week ago, the United States imposed sanctions on former Lebanese foreign minister and head of the Free Patriotic Movement, Gebran Bassil, due to his association with Hezbollah and his role in many files of corruption and obstruction of government formation.

Meanwhile, sources confirmed that the President of Parliament, Nabih Berri, had entered the line of the current crisis, trying to limit the influence of external archives on the issue of government formation, noting that he would hold a series of meetings to reaching an agreement on the government file, especially considering the imposition of sanctions on his political aide, Minister “Ali Hassan Khalil”, should not affect the interest of the Lebanese, he said.

In the same context, the sources added: “Basil is currently acting with a spirit of revenge, not only against his political opponents, but against all Lebanese, as if the sanctions were dictated by order of Lebanon and the Lebanese,” noting that the situation became more complex and escalated.

It is noteworthy that the Lebanese president, “Michel Aoun”, made the decision about a month ago to assign the head of the Future Movement, “Saad Hariri”, to form the new government, after his predecessor, “Mustafa Adeeb”, apologize.
