Armenian Defense Ministry spokeswoman Shushan Stepanyan stated that “particularly intense and fierce battles” broke out at night near Shusha, confirming that many attacks by Azerbaijan were thwarted.
He also announced the occurrence of regular overnight bombing operations against Shusha, which includes a historic cathedral that was damaged in last month’s bombing.
In recent days, officials from Karabakh and Armenia reported numerous attacks south of Shusha.
