“In response to the statement of 9/24/2020, by which the public was informed of what the judicial investigator, Judge Fadi Sawan, had done in the case of the Beirut port explosion that occurred on 4/8 / 2020, to the extent permitted by law, and why It does not contradict the binding principle of confidentiality of investigations, according to which the Lebanese people have agreed to work to complete the investigations in order to arrive at the determination of responsibilities appropriate against the perpetrators.

In accordance with the principle of transparency, so as to ensure compatibility between the horror of the explosion that occurred and the catastrophic results it generated, and the binding legal provisions that maintain the principle of confidentiality of investigations, and the concern that the citizens are informed of their trajectory within the legally permissible limits,

It is important that the forensic investigator emphasizes in the first place that the investigation is carried out as quickly as possible but without haste, with the required precision and deliberation, with the aim of determining the causes that led to the explosion, and in which all possibility remains possible until the completion of all the investigation, especially in the related part.
