With the increase in the number of votes closing in on former White House Vice President Joe Biden, the Democratic candidate appeared in a speech Friday night in front of his supporters gathered in his hometown, Delaware, USA.

Biden said: “We were late 24 hours ago, but now we are going ahead … We were late in Pennsylvania and we will win, and now we are leading in Arizona and Nevada.”

“Look at the numbers, we will win this race with a clear majority,” he added.

Biden pointed to the record number of votes cast by the president of the United States and said: “We got 74 million votes, and this is more than any number obtained by a president in the past, and the numbers are increasing.”

“We will win a victory in Arizona that we have not had in 24 years,” he emphasized.

In a confident tone, he continued: “We have rebuilt the Blue Wall that collapsed four years ago.”

He said that those who voted for him “made it clear that they want the country to heal together and not divide.”

Biden stressed that he is not waiting for his victory to be officially announced to begin work, but has already started the matter, and he and Vice President Kamala Harris met with experts on Thursday “to discuss the economic crisis.”

Biden expressed his grief at the way the new Corona virus has killed many lives in the country, saying: “I know the sadness that afflicts a person when they lose a loved one, our hearts are broken.”

He promised: “On the first day, we will prepare a plan (to deal with) this virus.”

He noted that “more than 20 million people are unemployed” and promised that “the economic plan will focus on a strong economic recovery.”

He urged his followers to “be patient and calm while we count all the votes.”

“His vote will be counted, regardless of the attempts of some to stop him,” he stressed.

He said that the disagreement “is a sign of the lively debate that is taking place”, and stressed that “this is democracy.”

He noted, during his speech, that the purpose of politics is “to end the war” and not to fuel the conflict. “We are opponents, but not enemies, we are Americans.”

He stressed that “we have no time to waste in partisan differences and wars.”

And he added: “My responsibility as president is to represent the entire country … I will work hard for those who worked against me as well as those who worked with me, this is my job.”

Biden confirmed that he is currently “on track to get 300 votes in the electoral college.”
