The announcement came after a phone call that took place on Saturday between Macron and Tunisian President Qais Saeed, who “expressed solidarity with France after the terrorist acts,” according to the French presidency.

The Elysee clarified that the two presidents “agreed to strengthen cooperation in the fight against terrorism,” adding that “they discussed the delicate issue related to the return of Tunisians who are forced to leave French territory, with the intelligence services in the safety list at the forefront. “
