Arab economic thinker Talal Abu Ghazaleh ruled out a shift in US policy toward the Arab world after the US presidential election.
Abu-Ghazaleh believes that the victory of current President Donald Trump or his rival, Joe Biden, will not transform US foreign policy toward the Arab world.
Abu Ghazaleh said, in a new episode of “The World How Far?” Airing weekly on the RT screen: “There will be no problem for the Arab-Zionist conflict, which means that the (US) elections will not affect that.”
Abu Ghazaleh analyzed the debate that took place between Trump and Biden last week, and said that “the objective of the debates in America is to win the votes of the electorate, and from the debate it is possible to deduce the issues of interest to Americans, that is , United States”.
The economic thinker added that most of the discussion topics were on internal affairs in the United States, noting that Israel was not mentioned during the debate, which means that there is consensus within the United States on the matter and no Arab countries were named.
He added that China was only mentioned during the debate, and in passing, from the angle of who will best deal with China, indicating that there is consensus to curb the growth of the “red dragon.”
The expert Abu Ghazaleh hoped that the current president of the United States, Donald Trump, would win a second term, and said that “the world will live in the shadow of Trump, whether or not he is elected.”
Abu Ghazaleh also indicated his intention to organize a conference on November 16, International Day of Tolerance, in order to send a message to China and the United States to promote a rapprochement between them as the two largest economies in the world.
