After Fahmy’s decision, the Minister of Education makes his decision on closing schools.

The Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Tariq Majzoub issued the following statement:
“To complete the safe return to teaching, the Minister of Education and Higher Education reminds those responsible for official and private schools, secondary schools and technical institutes of the need to adhere to the following points:
All educational institutions will remain closed in the closed spaces specified in the decisions issued by the Minister of the Interior and Municipalities.
– Regarding the areas not closed, and in case there is any reason for the closure, it is required to contact the operations room of the ministry on the direct line 772186/01 to present the recommendation to the Minister of Education to take corresponding decision after studying the case.
– All educational institutions are obliged to fully adhere to the health guide and the decisions issued by the Ministry regarding the capacity of the classrooms and to inform the hotline immediately under penalty of responsibility for any school injury to students , educational or administrative bodies, or workers of educational institutions (including bus drivers) to be served. Appropriate decisions after studying each case.
The exceptional state of health we are experiencing requires a concerted effort by all the components of the educational family, as well as full commitment to the decisions issued by the Ministry. The ministry will work to ensure that what is issued is implemented and that legal action is taken against violators.
