A prominent royal commentator has said that Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II will resign and take over from Prince Charles when she is 95, according to the Daily Mail.
Royal commentator Robert Jobson spoke exclusively to “The Royal House” and said Diana, the Princess of Wales, believed she was “stronger than the queen” in the run-up to the 1995 BBC interview.
He also describes Prince Harry’s recent comments on racial prejudice as “naked hypocrisy.”
“I still firmly believe that the Queen will leave office when she is 95 years old,” explained the royal biographer.
In turn, “Newsweek” correspondent Jack Royston said, “I think she won’t want that, but realistically, she will come to a point where she will hand everything over to Charles, so why don’t you tell her then will he be the king? “
Jobson’s comments come before the 25th anniversary of Diana’s famous 1995 interview with BBC Panorama.
He said: “During that period, with the announcement of the separation of Prince Charles and Diana, the latter was on the way to getting everything she wanted.”
He continued: “I think she thought she was stronger than the queen, so the affairs with Queen Elizabeth came to an end.”
Following Harry’s comments on the subject of his unconscious bias this week, Jobson said: “I find that hypocrisy coming out of Harry and his wife Megan Markle.”
Jobson also continued to discuss recent reports about Prince Andrew’s possible return to his royal duties.
“He cannot return in any way,” he said. “It must be cleared by the FBI before that.”
Jobson noted that Prince Philip plays an active role in all of the queen’s major decisions regarding media coverage of the royal family.
