Palestinian prisoner Maher Al-Akhras is nearing his 100th day of hunger strike, and the occupation continues to obstruct and delay his release, insisting on completing his current administrative rule.

The head of the Palestinian Authority for Prisoner Affairs and Publishers, Qadri Abu Bakr, made it clear that the silent prisoner refused to end the strike except by canceling the administrative ruling or transferring him to a Palestinian hospital in the occupied West Bank, as he knows the occupation is stagnating and he can extend his detention again.

Abu Bakr revealed that there is a danger to the life of the mute prisoner, as he began to gradually lose the sense of hearing and sight while unable to speak, and there is a danger that threatens his vital organs, indicating that the European Union and Human rights organizations have started to move and sue the occupation to end the suffering of the prisoner, although the demands came late, but they are Important at this time.

Abu Bakr added that the occupation wants the silent prisoner to end his strike, but with “Israeli” conditions, and that is what the prisoner rejects, because his government is illegal and he is in captivity without rights and without charges.

“There are Palestinian efforts at the highest level and we hope to achieve something positive,” he said.

The head of the Prisoner Affairs Authority considered that the occupation courts are false and formal and support the decision of the Zionist Shin Bet, which has the decision to release the silent prisoner.
