Al-Rai in the most violent “attack” on authority: he killed his people and must admit his failure!

He added: “We want a government of the constitution, the charter and any other government that is a waste of time.”

And he said in the sermon of the closing mass of the Synod of Bishops of the Holy Maronite Church: “1. Together we celebrate the sacrifice of thanksgiving at the end of the work of the Synod of Bishops of our Holy Church. We thank God the One and Trinity for the love of the Father who covered us, the grace of the Son who sanctified us, and the descent of the Holy Spirit who illuminated our steps. Ask forgiveness for all our deficiencies in duty, or insult God by violating his duties and commandments, since we propose it as a sacrifice of commitment to the mission that Christ the Lord entrusted to us to take care of “the sheep that he redeemed with his blood” with truth and love.

2. The parable that our Lord gave in today’s Gospel has many meanings in its symbols. The owner of the house is God. The vineyard that he has raised is his people; The fence is his commandments, pictures, words and the grace of his seven salvific secrets; The winepress is the church where the fruits of justice and holiness are gathered, the tower is our Lord himself who appears as a fortified tower, in the middle of the Holy Church with the Virgin and the saints; The vineyards are those to whom the Lord has given his generosity. And finally, the servants he sent to give them the fruits of generosity are the believers who come to be fed by the word of God, to be renewed by the grace of his secrets and to receive the help of love for them in their needs.

3. Saint John Chrysostom revealed, in this parable, the quality of God’s care, who arranged everything for the salvation of each one, prepared everything and left us only to preserve what he entrusted to us. He did not neglect anything, he did everything and gave us attention to the fruits of the divine, ecclesiastical and material generosity of the Church. This is what shows our grave responsibility towards the children of our dioceses, who also have the right to enjoy these fruits, so that we do not kill them spiritually, pastorally and socially.

These two weeks that we spent together were, in fact, a spiritual, ecclesiastical, pastoral and social mobilization, to pour out on the souls entrusted to our care.

4. This proverb also applies, in the civil field, to those involved in political affairs. So generosity is the homeland, each nation, which is protected by its constitution, statute and justice; The karamans are the political authority Servants are citizens who demand basic rights from state officials: food, education, work, housing, founding a family and obtaining job opportunities that ensure the possibility of marrying and founding a family, food security and stability of security. But our political authority killed its people economically, financially, and in terms of life and development. It pushed them into a state of loss and anger, despair and revolution, emigration and survival. However, we ask you to stand your ground and save Lebanon and its people from the wicked in it.

5. Now that we are faced with a very important historical and constitutional right to form a new government, the political community must admit its inability to represent the citizens, earn their trust and govern the country. She would resign for Lebanon, if only temporarily, in the face of a solidarity government team that would lead the country on the path of advancement. While we await the rapid formation of the government, we want it together with all the people: the government of Lebanon and Lebanon, the government of the constitution and the charter, the government of the victims of the Beirut port explosion, the government of the scream. of mothers, fathers and children, the government of the power to rescue. Any other government is a new waste of time and the homeland as were previous governments. I don’t know what his chances of survival and success will be.

6. We note the existence of regional and international plans that are silent in content and whose final dimensions are unknown, which are being implemented day by day and year after year in a gradual and fractional manner, regardless of the existing regimes and the will of the people. Therefore, we renew our faith in the independent entity of Lebanon with its international borders and in the unity of its people within the framework of a decentralized pluralist covenant association, strengthened by absolute loyalty to Lebanon and led by a democratic system and a system of spiritual and national freedoms and values.

7. Our Church considers that everything is authorized with respect to the preservation of the entity of Lebanon, the pact of national association, democracy and freedoms. And in anticipation of all dangers, we have offered a protective umbrella to Lebanon in this stormy and turbulent phase. The value of Lebanon is to reconcile its neutrality on the one hand with its survival, active and continuous present with the Arabs and the world. When there were still no successful entities and states, Lebanon, with its historic mountain, was a dialogue for East and West to preserve its independence, so what is it like today?

8. The Maronite Church asks to strengthen the Christian-Islamic association in the world and to dispel the climate of interreligious conflict, especially after the advance of the dialogue between the references of Islam and Christianity, and the issuance of the “Document of the Human Fraternity” in Abu Dhabi on February 5, 2019. While the Church vehemently denounces opposition to religious symbols The humiliating cartoons under the guise of freedoms and secularization energetically denounce at the same time the act of beheading a teacher in front of his school and the massacre of three faithful inside a church in Nice, France, while pleading with God for peace and brotherhood. These denounced acts do not find any humanitarian or religious justification for them, rather they are a grave offense to God, the sole owner of life and death. As we express our condolences from France, asking your ambassador to Lebanon to convey them to the president of your republic, the government and the families of the victims, we pray for mutual respect for religions. And preserving pure relationships and promoting the dialogue of culture and life between Christians and Muslims.

9. O Lord, have mercy on us, and return to the misery of our reality, and strengthen our faith in your universal fatherhood and in brotherhood among all peoples. Glory and praise to you, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen.
