The Minister of Public Health of the interim government, Dr. Hamad Hassan, inaugurated the Corona department at Al Mayas Hospital in Chtaura, Bekaa, and was received by the chairman of the board of directors, Qassem Hammoud, the vice-chairman of the board of directors, Nabil Hammoud, the director of the Nour al-Beiruti Hospital, and Drs. Jihad Desouki, Muhammad Maslamani and Abdullah Maslamani. And Suleiman Saeed and Dr. Lama Al-Sablani.

Hassan toured the entire emergency department and some departments of the hospital, pointing out the “passage of Al-Mayas and Qassem Hammoud Hospital, which was never far from assuming its responsibilities towards the people of its region, and today we attended the opening of the department of Corona and as I reported an increase in the equipment and the number of rooms, a sense of health responsibility towards Sé and I have experience in this hospital and Chtoura Hospital on the scope of health and safety standards. “

Hassan highlighted during his tour of the department that “Corona still continues, and we continue working to increase the disposition, and we salute the management of the Mayas Hospital for this responsible step, which falls into the category of relieving pressure, for our people and them. saves the work of traveling to the capital, which in fact has become zero ICU, while the region is better in the peripheries and districts as a result of the response, patriotism and society through responsible treatment, and this response is earned by working to secure an additional family.

He added: “Today we inaugurated the Corona department at Al-Mayas Hospital, and this brought me back twenty years to the year 2000 when I was a doctor at the hospital, head of the laboratory department, the day we opened the laboratory with Dr. Jihad of pcr, at that time it was the second laboratory in Lebanon and the first in the Bekaa.
Today we have six ICU beds and ten ordinary beds for corona patients, in addition to other institutions, but they are numbered, and also we are in an appointment with a former hospital that will be presented to us by the Corona department, and we encourage and urge all hospital institutions to get involved in confronting this epidemic to save our people, so we can talk about The Right Benefit, with a fully transparent audit because the Corona files will be paid after one month from the date of the audit, And there is also an additional step that we were able to achieve with a loan from the World Bank to cover the financial ceilings of the hospitals that open the Corona department.

He continued: “We, with our capabilities and part of the aid that came to the army, I think we were able to deliver part of the aid that was given to the Corona epidemic, and that is our feeling with you about the financial crisis that hospitals are facing. private, but this is not justified to face this epidemic, nor to evade responsibilities. Unfortunately, the day before yesterday the Corona counter is increasing with 1809 wounded, and yesterday it reached 1850 wounded.

He added: “Yesterday I spoke with Prime Minister Dr. Hassan Diab on the subject of the scientific recommendation that we presented three days ago to close larger areas. We know that the closure of the country is a matter that can be interpreted. We raised the recommendation as a scientific committee under the agreed decisions to expand the area, the area for the red space, and have an effective closure. This does not mean that we closed a town, city or town that unfortunately on the ground did not close and did not comply, and we see a lot of that, and there are a large number of those who did not comply with the closure, no matter how small or large these areas may be. , and there are regions, towns and villages that have been closed and committed and seriously worked in cooperation with the municipalities. And there was great concern about blocking and it was a successful experience. In turn, we call on all municipalities to assume their responsibilities being very careful and responsible for the life of the citizen in a serious way so as not to risk the lives of those we respect and their son, and I congratulate the Al Mayas Hospital for this initiative. , which must be repeated in all Lebanese regions.

In response to a question about the lack of seriousness in dealing with the late Corona, Hassan highlighted “the need for responsible behavior with a different and more responsible behavior”, saying: “I know tenderness and affection and how much love means passed away for his family, but all health and scientific data confirm that in the first hours after death there is a possibility of catching the virus. From the body of the deceased, whether during washing or not, or through water spray, breathing near or approaching the deceased, these procedures must be stopped, they are unhealthy and unhealthy, and we advise against approaching.

He concluded: “The main problem is medical supplies. We sent a letter to the Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, Riad Salameh and asked him to secure 200 million dollars from the hospital owners’ accounts to supply the hospitals with medical supplies related to Corona, so that the treatment is good on this issue, and the ruler’s treatment is positive with the government hospitals, and we hope that we hope to have a positive treatment with the private hospitals regarding supplies for corona, and we hope that we can deal positively and with the facilities on equipment with the new government.

Hammoud praised Minister Hassan’s role and his “positive interaction with citizen health through monitoring, accountability and follow-up to pharmacies and drug stores,” saying, “This is additional work that we recorded for Minister Hassan and this is what we have not seen from any former minister who has a responsible patriotic sense towards his family and his compatriots. The center is a matter of caution and a responsible national duty, knowing that it increases the economic and psychological burdens, and despite this we will increase the number of beds to serve our people.

Hammoud thanked the Minister of Health for “the support he provides to private hospitals under the shadow of the Corona epidemic”, noting that “the Corona department at Al Mayas Hospital includes so far 6 intensive care rooms and 10 wards monitoring, and the rooms will be increased with a sense of our medical and health responsibility to care for the children of the Bekaa and immunize them. Your health security and the provision of supplies to face the Corona epidemic, and we will work to increase medical and health equipment to provide all health capabilities in the region.
