The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced Tuesday, through careful security coordination, the frustrated smuggling of drugs from Brazil to the port of Aden.
The shipment was hidden inside one of the containers, which contains a quantity of sugar.
The shipment includes a quantity of drugs, estimated at half a ton (cocaine and heroin).
The information confirmed that the amount of drugs was on its way to the Houthi militia, under the supervision of the terrorist Hezbollah.
Last July, informed sources revealed to the newspaper “Asharq Al-Awsat” about the great spread of drugs in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, and the cities under the control of the Houthi militia.
The newspaper claimed that over the past few months, the legitimate government’s security services seized tons of drugs that were headed for the areas controlled by the Houthi militia.
Meanwhile, local sources in Sana’a pointed to the expansion of the phenomenon of drug addiction among young people, under the control, financing and support of the secret militia.
He also indicated that these materials are being sold almost openly in some streets of the capital, and their trade is supervised by gangs formed and supported by Houthi leaders.
In the same context, Asharq Al-Awsat quoted a security official from the Anti-Drug Administration under the control of the militia in Sana’a as saying that drugs have become one of the most important means used by Iran to finance the Houthis.
