“Festival of the Cultural Days of Palestine”: get ready for the third edition

The “Tiro Association for Arts”, the “Lebanese National Theater” and the “Istanbul Theater” announced the holding of the third session of the “Palestinian Cultural Days Festival” from October 29 to 31 at the “Theater Lebanese National “in Tire. (South Lebanon). Organizing a group of theatrical, cinematographic and musical performances, as well as seminars, exhibitions, plastic arts spaces and poetry evenings. The event aims to demonstrate Palestinian culture and heritage, in order to help preserve Palestinian identity and memory.

In this context, the theater’s founder, actor and director Qassem Istanbul, confirmed that the next session will send a “salute to the late artistic and literary figures who contributed to highlighting Palestinian culture, art and heritage, such as the poet Mahmoud Darwish. , the writer Ghassan Kanafani, the plastic artist Mustafa Al-Hallaj and the poet Fadwa Toukan, The media, Fatima Al-Badiri and the photographer Karima Abboud ».
It should be noted that the first edition of the festival, which is part of the “Arab Arts and Culture Network”, was launched in 2015 and at that time included a group of artistic activities that focused on traditional songs and plays and folk costumes. , and paid tribute to the late artists Ghassan Matar and Mahmoud Saeed. As for the second session, it came after the festival stopped for four years and greeted the writer and writer Salman Al-Natour, the artist Reem Al-Banna, the poet Samih Al-Qasim, the cartoonist Naji Al-Ali , director and photographer Hani Jawhariya, and artist Kamal Balata.
