London – “Al-Quds Al-Arabi”: Lebanese Facebook pages published recordings showing young people from the Tabbaneh area of Tripoli city, after storming the municipality building and expelling Syrian actors who tried to upload photos of Bashar al-Assad and the flag of the Syrian regime while filming a television series.

The Tripoli Municipality Media Office issued a statement that read: “A Lebanese television production company submitted a request to shoot footage within the municipality and in the city’s public garden for a series entitled (One Whole World). The team arrived at the Municipal Palace around eight o’clock at night, and the decoration installation for the shots began in the presence of the mayor’s office.
According to video recordings on the “Northern Tripoli” website, the Syrian actors stopped filming and rushed out of the building accompanied by the Lebanese army, to avoid the widespread anger of the people of the region.
The people of Tripoli commented on the incident yesterday on social media, saying: “We have not forgotten the massacres committed by the Assad regime against the people of Tripoli and Tabbaneh, and we will not forget them,” as they put it.
The statement added: “When the decoration was presented, a pole with the Syrian flag was found between them, so I rejected it because I agreed to photograph scenes from the municipality’s content and not add anything else. I immediately contacted President Dr. Riyad Yamak and told him what the task force intended to do, so he refused and contacted the municipal police leadership. They demanded to remove the team from the municipality and not allow political or religious slogans to be raised. Yameq immediately went to the municipality, arrived with the municipal police before filming began and asked them to leave immediately.
The office concluded its statement by saying: “It is important that the media office confirms that there are no images of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad or the Syrian flag, or any scene within the municipality, and several young people who were allowed to enter. to see the decoration they have confirmed it “.
The Assad regime and its ally, Hezbollah, have supported the people of Jabal Mohsen against the people of Tabbaneh for the past decades, so that the region pays the price for that with the blood of its people, of which the Syrian regime still it’s responsible.
