The Media Office of the Municipality of Tripoli explained the circumstances that occurred during the filming of a Syrian series entitled “A Whole World”, within the municipality of Tripoli.
The office said in a statement: “A Lebanese television production company requested to film footage within the municipality and in the city’s public park for a series titled” A Whole World “, and the task force arrived at the Municipal Palace around eight. of the night and began to install the decoration of the clips that were intended to be filmed in the presence of the director of the president’s office. The municipality, when exhibiting the decoration, revealed the presence of the Syrian flag, so the director of the mayor’s office refused because the approval came to photograph scenes of the content of the municipality and did not add anything else. He immediately contacted President Riad Yimq and told him what the team intended to do, so he refused and contacted the Police Command Municipal. He demanded that the team be removed from the municipality and that it not allow political or religious rituals to take place, and Yameq immediately went to the municipality, arrived with the police municipal officials before filming began and asked them to leave immediately.
The media office stressed that “not lifting photographs of the Syrian president or the Syrian flag or photographing any scene within the municipality, and a series of young people who were able to enter to see the decoration made sure of this.”
It is noteworthy that “an army patrol arrived at the Municipal Palace, to avoid any contact.”
